La casa fantom/Redd poster

Poster for a gig with the crustpunk/hc bands; La casa fantom and Redd. The venue was at Blitz, a building occupied by punks since 1982. Because of Blitz's long history, I sat aside a column for their whole story for enlightment.

Pecha Kucha tv, Jungelen, was at my house the other day for an interview. It's only in norwegian with no subtitles I'm afraid, but it was a fun day. Thanks!

update...

To get you updated. At the moment I'm working on a logo for a carpenter company, layout for an underground zine, poster for an art exhibition, cd cover for a 16 year old norwegian pop band, 2 tattoo's, another cover for a great and funny punkrock band, totebag cd-cover for a crustpunk band, a pretty damn big mural and a toilet at a radiostation, monthly posters for Revolver events, redesigning a website, logo for a metalband, cover for a punkband, another logo for a rockband, and finally a cover made in marzipan! Cross my fingers I won't die yet.

Birthday posters

Did some quick posters a while ago for my friend Erik on his 30th birthday. They were hung up in the basement of Revolver pub in Oslo. Translated to english the posters says: "Put your pants on!!" "What color does Erik have on his hair?" "Welcome down to a fucking birthday!" "No it isn't Il Tempo Gigante!" "Move! I'm pregnant!" ...and the yellow you probably understand.

In the process...

I will now start to operate this site more as a workblog than just a channel to distribute my work. You will see more of my process than just the finished work. I will not publish links or pictures taken from other sites if it doesn't have any link to what I'm doing.

Until I get my own site, my finished work is going to be published here.

Don't Cry Wolf Release Poster

A poster for the releaseparty of the Don't Cry Wolf cd. It's based on 80's skateboard graphics as same as the cd. The text below is there to make the illustrated text more readable for the untrained eye. But I can assure you that it says approximately the same above in the bloody illustration.

I went a bit crazy on this cause I got a lucky deal, so I printed it in four different sizes. Flyer: 210x74,25mm, normal poster: 70x25cm, medium big: 174x61cm and the big one: 200x76cm! As you can see from the photos, the big and rectangled size did it more efficient to put it up, as it covered a bigger area on the board, so we didn't have to put up 5 of them to make it more visible. It also saved us money on printing. All in all a good advise!

Manhattan Skyline

Cover and booklet art for the band I play in. Done together with my buddy Fredrik Melbye. It's basically based upon the title of the cd "Curses". We wanted to do it black and white, but not only B/W, so we did some of the illustrations in uv coating as well on the cover to give it a bit more dimension and feel. There's also added a silver pantone color to some of the text and elements.

The booklet is a fat one! 24 pages with illustrations that visualizes the text. Fredrik and I talked a lot about doing the illustrations combining both pictures and drawings, so that's what we did. I basically did all the drawings while Fredrik put together collages, then we mixed them together till we were satisfied. Here's some of the spreads.

Manhattan Skyline T-shirt

Here is the t-shirt. Not much left to say. It's based on the idea and print on the cd-design.

Safari yoghurt

My first game! I remember when my teacher in the fourth grade told us to draw what occupation we thought we would have when we grew up. I drew myself as a creative game developer. Well, that's not that far from where I am today. Not after this project anyhow! I mainly did all the illustrations together with Henning at Suddenly Oslo. Simen, at the same agency, flashed the whole thing. Great bunch of people!

An interactive advertisement game for Yopait Safari yoghurt. This is a game for them kids. The first of four. The story: A big lump of ice have slid into the ocean, causing the sea level on the "Safari island" to increase. The animals in the jungel are worried about how this will affect them and the island in the future, and they want to do something about it. The first task is for you to drive the monkey through the jungel so that he can deliever the message to the elephant. YOU CAN TRY IT OUT HERE! Good luck!

Don't Cry Wolf

The new e.p. for Don't Cry Wolf. Illustrations based on old 80's skateboard graphics. The whole cover is based upon a wolf's one-second-story. From when the wolf get shot, till it's dead.
Front cover illustrates the entrance of the bulletwound, and the entrance to/birth of his life:

The innside is basically further down the wound. With the slime, guts and all... The other stuff (bugs, deer, fog, moon...) represents things the wolf has seen in his time alive. His life flashes before his eyes, as we say:

The print on the cd is him running in some sticky, bloody slime. Away from danger, down towards freedom:

The back of the digipack shows the wolf dead with the songtitles splattered on the wall behind him. If you can't read the titles, it says: «Speed Thai, Facial Friendship, The Last Computer Kid, Second Solution, Fire Occasion, Next To Come and Million Men March»:
